Donald Trump Jr. praised Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh as Kavanaugh defended himself against sexual assault allegations Thursday.
Trump Jr. posted this tweet following Kavanaugh's lengthy opening statement in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee that lasted nearly one hour:
"I love Kavanaugh's tone. It's nice to see a conservative man fight for his honor and his family against a 35 year old claim with ZERO evidence and lots of holes that amounts to nothing more than a political hit job by the Dems.
"Others in the GOP should take notice!"
Kavanaugh returned to Capitol Hill on Thursday to face questions about an accusation of sexual assault that dates back to the early 1980s when he was in high school. He was adamant the incident never occurred between him and his accuser, both in his opening statement and throughout the hearing.
