Military 'Leaderless' Due to Politics 'Permeating' Ranks

Two branches of the military remain without confirmed leaders and military analysts blame the increasing presence of politics in the armed services for placing national security and U.S. readiness at risk.

Following the retirement of Commandant Gen. David Berger earlier this summer, the U.S. Marine Corps is without a confirmed leader for the first time in a century.
