Despite the U.S. Supreme Court's recent string of rulings – including a 2022 New York case – that placed clear limits on how much state and local governments can restrict firearms ownership and possession, Democrat-run jurisdictions seem intent on persisting.

The practice keeps gun rights organizations like the Bellevue, Wash.,-based Second Amendment Foundation busy filing federal lawsuits on behalf of aggrieved law-abiding gun owners.
