White House cybersecurity coordinator Rob Joyce is calling the time-honored, nine-digit Social Security number a "flawed system" that "has outlived its usefulness." And to drive the point home, he recently revealed his own Social Security number had been compromised — at least four times.
Joyce joins a growing cadre of experts who are beginning to wonder whether it's time to put the time-honored Social Security number out to pasture.
