Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, told Newsmax TV on Tuesday he is stunned by the claim of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf that his proposed legislation to penalize local and state officials who help enforce sanctuary policies by aiding undocumented immigrants is "illegal."
"Read the federal sanction, there's long been a prohibition on sanctuary city policy . . . She is obstructing justice," King told Miranda Khan, John Cardillo and Gina Loudon on Tuesday's "America Talks Live."
