Dahl, Bond Censorship Just 'the Beginning'

So-called "insensitive" character descriptions in the works of author Roald Dahl and racial slurs in Ian Fleming's iconic James Bond series are being scrubbed from books in the U.K. in a censorship move that conservatives fear could soon cross the Atlantic.

In the U.K., editors spent months updating the works of famed children's author Dahl to eliminate "insensitive" and "non-inclusive" language. Updates were announced shortly after Puffin Books' stated it would alter the books so they can "continue to be enjoyed by all children today."
