Brick-and-mortar stores in the Age of Amazon have become a bit of an endangered species. But it now appears a new way of tracking inventory — the lifeblood of any retail establishment — is revolutionizing the industry and giving traditional stores a chance to regain some of the market share they've lost to online retailing.
