During his first term in office, President Donald Trump has pushed for more religious freedoms by protecting religion in school, reversing an Obama-era policy that prevented religious organizations from receiving federal disaster relief, and issuing an executive order promoting international religious freedoms.
His reversal of an Obamacare policy, which required employers to provide free birth control to employees, was lauded by religious groups when the Supreme court ruled in favor of religious exemptions.
