Fernando Cabrera, the pastor and New York City councilman challenging U.S. Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez in New York’s 14th congressional district, is getting a boost from at least one member of President Donald J. Trump’s evangelical advisory board.
Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, is the socialist firebrand with nearly 6 million twitter followers who has emerged as a towering kingmaker in the Democratic Party. Last month, she endorsed Democratic-socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont for the Democratic presidential nomination.
