The man leading what has been described as an extremist Muslim group in the New Mexico desert was essentially heading a terror group, former NYPD Commissioner Bernie Kerik told Newsmax TV.
"This is basically a terror group that in 1993 wanted to bring down the [World Trade Center] towers," Kerik said. "They were highly disturbed when they didn't come down, which is why bin Laden came back in 2001 to try it again and was successful.
