Democrat New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham's decision suspending open and concealed carry across Albuquerque under an emergency health order is a "coldly calculated" measure that will ultimately backfire and "prove to be another victory for the Second Amendment," legal experts say.

Though analysts point out that Lujan Grisham's order follows a pattern of legislative overreach repeatedly demonstrated by Democrat executives, other governors are not expected to follow suit on the gun issue considering the swift backlash Lujan Grisham has faced.
