Presidential elections in Mexico and the United States this year will affect the relationship between the two countries and policies about southern border security, immigration, and illegal drugs.

Mexicans were first to go to the polls, on June 2, electing Claudia Sheinbaum to be the first woman and first Jewish person to lead the heavily Catholic country.
