The debate over gun legislation has risen to a fever pitch following the July Fourth shooting in Highland Park, Illinois – but the "solutions" presented by many of the nation's leaders turn out not to be much of an answer at all.

Democrat Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker is considering imposing an "assault" weapons and high-capacity magazine ban. President Joe Biden declared that "we're living in a country awash in weapons of war."
