News that hackers are demanding a staggering $42 million after stealing over 750 gigabytes of sensitive personal data from a prestigious Hollywood law firm that represents Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Mariah Carey reflects a dangerous criminal trend sweeping the nation.

The “REvil” hackers who struck the Hollywood firm of Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks not only stunned Hollywood. They also claim to have made off with mountains of potentially compromising information – including confidential settlements -- on the firm’s A-list clients.
