The Biden administration's proposed cuts in Army Special Operations units aim to complete the U.S. military's turn towards the progressive "woke" ideology, Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., an Afghanistan veteran and a former member of the U.S. Army's Special Operations Command told Newsmax.

Mast serves as chair of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Accountability, a post in which he examines a range of issues, not just the investigation into the bungled Afghanistan withdrawal.
