Having options for platforms that are different than ones like Tik Tok or others that might be ultimately owned or controlled by the communist regime in China is "very much welcome news," FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr told Newsmax TV on Tuesday.

"You're seeing across government a reassessment, and we need to take a top to bottom review of any entity," Carr told Tuesday's "Spicer & Co." "I think it's a good thing to see people moving away from that platform."
