President Joe Biden’s current approach to the illegal immigration crisis on the southern border shows him playing a card he’s wielded numerous times throughout a lengthy political career: copying what the other guy did.

To be sure, after getting sworn in on Jan. 20, Biden initially wasted no time scrapping many of former President Donald Trump’s tough immigration rules and suspending the building of his signature border wall – decisions that, experts say, created a welcoming environment for illegal immigrants, who soon began flooding the border in unprecedented numbers.
