Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson: Cory Booker a 'Coward' for Attack on Sessions

By    |   Thursday, 12 January 2017 04:39 PM EST ET

Democratic Sen. Cory Booker was a "coward" for attacking Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions at his confirmation hearing Wednesday for attorney general, radio-talk show host the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson told Newsmax TV on Thursday.

"I personally believe that he's trying to get in a position where he can run for president representing the Democratic Party next time around — and I think he's too cowardly to speak highly of Sen. Sessions," Peterson told host Steve Malzberg on "America Talks Live."

"He knows that this man is a good man. He's said it before — but rather than being an honest, upright good man, he's going to lie and try to call this man a racist in order to appease the Democratic Party.

"He has no shame," Peterson said.
