Ex-Klan Leader Duke: Trump a 'Challenge to the Establishment'

Former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and ex-Louisiana State Rep. David Duke told Newsmax TV on Wednesday that he was supporting — though not endorsing — Donald Trump, despite never having met or talked to the Republican front-runner.

"I think people should vote for him," Duke told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "I think he's a challenge to the establishment.

"He's the only guy that's really struck the heart of the immigration issue, which I think is the most important issue. … That's why I'm supporting Trump."

Duke said that, while he was not endorsing the developer, "strategically, you should vote for Donald Trump because he's the strongest."
