Sen. Mark Udall of Colorado wouldn't appear publicly with Obama when he visited the Centennial State.
"In Colorado, a swing state, more of a purplish state, the president's approval rating is far under that 50 percent mark," Catanese said. "It is not surprising that he doesn't want to share a stage with the president, doesn't want to be on that front page of the Denver Post with his arm around the president."
