A golf course owned by President Donald Trump is being eyed to host the 2019 Scottish Open, The Guardian reports.
The newspaper said the event likely will be held at Trump International Golf Links Scotland in Aberdeen. The facility boasts a 7,400-yard, par 72 championship course overlooking the North Sea.
The site opened in 2012 and was constructed at a cost of more than $155 million.
Environmental campaigners opposed the construction of the course on protected sand dunes, but it was welcomed by business leaders.
