Rick Gates, who worked on President Donald Trump’s campaign and inauguration, is still cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller on “several ongoing investigations,” Mueller’s office said in a court filing.
Gates, who pleaded guilty to conspiring to defraud the U.S., testified as a prosecution witness against his former boss, onetime Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
Gates’s ongoing cooperation means it’s not appropriate to start his sentencing process,
