A fuming Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly demanded all cabinet ministers attend the Monday airport reception for President Donald Trump – issuing the order after finding out most were opting out.

During a Sunday meeting of coalition heads, Netanyahu was notified there would be a sparse attendance of ministers, and that most party heads would not participate in it, Haaretz reported.

"Netanyahu was furious and blew up the meeting," Haaretz reported, citing an unnamed senior official.

Afterward, an order was issued attendance was mandatory.

According to Haaretz, original plans for the reception at Ben-Gurion Airport called for a long ceremony; the plans changed at the White House request for a shorter ceremony "due to the warm weather."

Ministers were then disinvited – only to be reinvited Saturday night. At that point, however, attendance was not required, Haaretz reported.
