Trump's Job Approval Up 3 Points Since January

President Donald Trump’s approval rating has gone up three percentage points since January to 46 percent, according to a NBC News/ Wall Street Journal poll released on Sunday.

His disapproval stands at 52 percent, down from 54 percent in January.

Other results from the survey include:

  • Sixty percent of rural residents support the job the president is doing, as do 60 percent of whites without college degrees.
  • Among men, 54 percent approve of Trump’s performance, as well as 54 percent of whites overall.
  • Eighty-eight percent of African Americans and 64 percent of Latinos disapprove of the president.
  • Sixty-one percent of women and 57 percent of those 34 years old and younger do not approve of Trump’s performance.
  • Fifty-five percent of whites with college degrees disapproved of the president, as well as 51 percent of independents.

The survey was conducted among 900 Americans from February 24-27. The overall margin of error in the poll is +/- 3.3 percentage points.
