One-time vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin indicted through a tweet following Friday's earthquake in Anchorage that her home in nearby Wasilla was damaged, but her family was not harmed.
"(Prayers) for Alaska," Palin tweeted, using a emoji for the word prayers. "Our family is intact - house is not... I imagine that’s the case for many, many others. So thankful to be safe; praying for our state following the earthquake."
She did not elaborate about the damages to her home, located just under 45 miles north of Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. According to the U.S. Geological survey, the 7.0 magnitude earthquake was centered about 7 miles north of Anchorage. A second, smaller 5.8 magnitude earthquake followed, reports Fox News.
A tsunami warning was issued for the southern Alaska coastal areas of Cook's Inlet and part of the Kenai peninsula shortly after the earthquake ended.
