Six Democratic mayors from Sen. Kamala Harris’ home state of California have endorsed her bid for the White House, The Hill is reporting.
Harris picked up the support of San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, San Francisco Mayor London Breed, Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg, Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and Compton Mayor Aja Brown
The mayors represent almost 3.5 million California residents.
“I couldn’t be more enthusiastic to endorse my fellow Bay Area sister, Kamala Harris, and her candidacy for president,” Breed said.
Harris, in her bid to win the Democratic presidential nomination, has already picked up a number of endorsements in California, including one from Gov. Gavin Newsom.
