Postal Service Nixes International Mail from Yemen

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Postal Service says it's temporarily stopped accepting inbound international mail that's originating in Yemen.

The suspension is effective Saturday and comes in response to the potential threat from suspicious packages arriving in the U.S. on international flights originating in Yemen.

The Postal Service says it could make other adjustments to its international mail transportation network based on the recommendations of the Postal Inspection Service and other federal law enforcement agencies.
