Kathy Griffin Photographer Offers No Apologies for Trump Picture

The photographer who took the shot of comedian Kathy Griffin holding a gruesome model of President Donald Trump's bloodied severed head, said he stands by his work.

"You make art, you have to stand by it," Tyler Shields said in a video posted on TMZ. "That's it."

Griffin has apologized for the photo and has been dumped by CNN as co-host for the news network's annual New Year's Eve coverage, NPR reported.

Trump said Griffin should be "ashamed of herself" in a a tweet.
