Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos joked that he “still tap dance[s] into the office,” at an all-hands staff meeting last week after an employee asked if his personal problems will affect the business, CNBC reports.

“If you don’t mind, just raise your hand, if maybe — just maybe — you’ve had a better start to your 2019 than I have. Anybody?” Bezos said at the meeting, according to a recording obtained by CNBC. “I noticed that a couple hands didn’t come up — I’m sorry for you guys.”

Last year, Bezos and his wife, MacKenzie Bezos, announced their divorce, and soon after the Amazon founder became embroiled in a scandal involving the National Enquirer. He’s also faced criticism over the decision not to build the company’s second headquarters in New York.

“But seriously, no. I am as engaged and focused on Amazon as ever,” Bezos continued at the meeting. “I still tap dance into the office. I get to work with remarkable people. I get to live and work in the future. And that’s where I like to be, so thank you.”

Amazon declined to comment to CNBC.
