The Democratic National Committee changed the rules to allow Mike Bloomberg to qualify for Wednesday's debate, disappointing some, but there is a silver lining, according to Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.

At least Democratic presidential primary voters will get a chance to see how the candidates "take on an egomaniac billionaire," Warren tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

"It's a shame Mike Bloomberg can buy his way into the debate. But at least now primary voters curious about how each candidate will take on Donald Trump can get a live demonstration of how we each take on an egomaniac billionaire."

The tweet takes a shot not only at Bloomberg's self-funded presidential campaign, but incumbent President Donald Trump, too.

The DNC debate requirements included the reaching of a threshold for campaign donations. Bloomberg was previously ineligible for debates because he entered the race late and was using his own money.

Bloomberg was being criticized for running in a primary campaign and not being subjected to the scrutiny of a debate. Now, allowed in, he and the DNC are facing criticism for changing the rules to accommodate a billionaire.
