Former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh praised President Donald Trump on Thursday for bringing North Korea "to its knees" after agreeing to meet with dictator Kim Jong Un by May to discuss denuclearization.
"Well done, Mr. President," Walsh, a Republican who now is a radio talk-show host, said on Twitter:
Trump said he was willing to meet with Kim as part of an effort to get Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear ambitions, South Korea's National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong said outside the White House.
