Chelsea Clinton caught flak Tuesday for wishing the Church of Satan's official Twitter account a Happy New Year, with one social media user claiming she admitted to worshipping Satan.
"Oh goodness gracious. We can be civil, cheerful, respectful to & friends with people who don't share our religious beliefs," Clinton tweeted at the user.
"Sometimes, we even marry them. I'm a Methodist & my husband is Jewish, thank you for asking. A very happy New Year to you Rhonda!"
Clinton was threaded into a series of tweets after responding to a tweet from Chrissy Teigen.
