LONDON, Feb 10 (Reuters) - The head of Egypt's ruling party said in a live television interview on Thursday that the right thing for President Hosni Mubarak to do would be to "step aside".

Hossam Badrawi told Britain's BBC that he expected Mubarak to address the nation later on Thursday and that he hoped the president would announce he is passing power on to his vice president and paving the way for constitutional changes.
