Energy Secretary Steven Chu says one of Japan’s damaged nuclear reactors remains of concern, Politico reports.

“The main containment vessels in two of them we believe are intact,” Chu said on CNN's "State of the Union.” “We don’t know the status of the third one," he said, adding he believed the worst was over, but “I don’t want to make a blanket statement.”

Chu rejected claims Japanese authorities are holding back information.

“I mean, they’re giving their people and us reports of what’s going on. So, we are getting information from them,” he said. “We have confidence in that information."
