Air Obama to Fly After Elections

President Obama is leaving the country right after the midterm elections, troubling some Democrats, who believe the exodus will only aggravate matters if the Republican Party wins a House majority on Nov. 2, according to a report in The Hill.

“Unless we're planning to hold the lame duck in India, it makes zero sense to take a 10-day overseas trip right after what could be a disastrous midterm election,” said a Democratic strategist.

“It will demoralize Democrats and needlessly cede message and momentum to Republicans,” the strategist added.

The Obama camp, however, touts the trip — covering Japan, South Korea and Indonesia — as an important part of jump-starting the economy.
