A popular Colombian model is catching fire for claiming chicken injected with hormones can "turn" a child gay.
Colombian model Natalia Paris reportedly made the claim in a TV interview as she greeted fans outside a store in Bogota, according to the New York Daily News. Gay activists and even the National Federation for Colombian Poultry Farmers expressed outrage at the comments.
"When you hear this kind of a statement from a public figure like Natalia Paris, we must express our total outrage," FENAVI president Andres Fernando Moncada said, according to Colombia Reports. He dismissed Paris' claims as "urban myths."
