We don’t really know, but urban legends abound and some have brought up the possibility that deodorants increase the risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
In any case, no solid data exists to show there is a risk. Make yourself feel comfortable by doing what feels right to you.
If that means eliminating certain types of deodorant, by all means do it.
