What is a 'Natureopathic' Doctor?

Question: I am looking for a new doctor who is more open to alternative treatments, but I’m getting confused about the different titles. What is the difference between a “holistic” doctor and a “natureopathic” doctor?

Dr. Cwynar's answer:

A holistic doctor is typically an M.D. who takes a more natural approach to healing and prevention. A natureopathic doctor is typically a non-M.D. who has done some training in traditional medical healing. There are many Chinese natureopathic medical programs now available or similar programs where people can be trained specifically in herbs, acupuncture, etc.
