JetBlue Airways has made an offer to buy Spirit Airlines on Tuesday, a U.S. government official said, potentially holding up merger plans of Frontier Group Holdings and Spirit.
JetBlue has offered about $3.6 billion, The New York Times reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter said.
