Today signals the conclusion of the period between Christmas and Lent, commonly known as “Fat Tuesday” or the day of modern day Bacchanalia – Mardi Gras.  
 
Mardi Gras, French for Fat Tuesday, falls the day before Ash Wednesday; for some Christian traditions, the first day of Lent. Lent lasts for 40 days during which observers are supposed to give up something they enjoy, demonstrating their faithfulness.
 
Fat Tuesday is the last chance to celebrate and indulge before Lent, so let the good times role!
