President Donald Trump is a flashpoint for millions of couples — especially millennials — who are breaking up over disputes regarding the 45th president, the Washington Examiner reported.

A sampling of the results, according to the Examiner:

  • 10 percent of couples — unmarried and hitched — have split over Trump.
  • 22 percent of millennials have broken up.
  • 42 percent of millennnials say they have argued with their partner "more than ever" about politics.
  • Nearly 33 percent say arguments over Trump have negatively impacted their relationship.

The Examiner cited the results in a study done by Wakefield Research.

"Passionately opposing points of views are not only driving wedges between strangers and even friends, but we are now seeing evidence that this dissent is having a detrimental impact on Americans' marriages and relationships," the Examiner quoted the Wakefield report.
