Fans of the 1991 thriller "Point Break" were not too happy to hear that Gerard Butler has reportedly been tapped to star in an upcoming remake of the cult classic, and they made their voices heard on Twitter this week.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Butler is said to be in talks to star in the "Point Break" remake as Bodhi, the surfer dude who leads a team of bank robbers as they try and escape an undercover FBI agent who's hot on their heels. Keanu Reeves played the officer in the original film and Patrick Swayze played Bodhi.

Though Butler has some surfing experience — he played a rough-and-tumble surfer in 2012's "Chasing Mavericks" — fans are not pleased with him in the role of Bodhi.
Keanu Reeves has already shot down the idea of appearing in a
"Point Break" remake. Some films, he said in a December interview with BBC 5 Live, should have a "no remake clause."
Patrick Swayze died of pancreatic cancer in Sept. 2009 at age 57.
