The "Mr. Robot" first-season finale has been postponed by the USA Network following Wednesday's shooting of two Virginia journalists and one other during a live report.

"The previously filmed season finale of Mr. Robot contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia," the network announced, USA Today reported.

"Out of respect to the victims, their families, and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."

The network said that instead of the finale, it will repeat last week's penultimate episode. The finale will now air on Sept. 2 at 10 p.m. EST.

"Mr. Robot" is a drama about vigilante computer hacker Elliot Alderson, played by Rami Malek, who takes on a large conglomerate corporation. The series also features actor Christian Slater.

On Wednesday, reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward of WDBJ-TV in Franklin County, Virginia, were shot and killed while filming a segment outdoors. Suspect and former station employee Vester L. Flanagan II, who used the name Bryce Williams on the air, was the primary suspect.

He's accused of shooting and killing Parker and Ward, and shooting and injuring one other woman being interviewed for the report. He reportedly filmed the crime himself, and later released the footage on social media before shooting and killing himself.

In a manifesto sent to ABC News by Flanagan, he claimed he had been mistreated by his work colleagues, as well as countless others as a gay black man. He also said he sought retribution for this year's Charleston church shooting, perpetrated by Dylann Roof, an apparent white supremacist.

"As for Dylann Roof? You [deleted]! You want a race war [deleted]? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE …[deleted]!!!" Flanagan wrote.
