'Lion King' Broadway Cast Sings 'Circle of Life' on Flight (Video)

Australian cast members of the musical "The Lion King" surprised passengers on Virgin Australia Flight 970 from Brisbane to Sydney with an impromptu performance of the song "The Circle of Life" on Monday and the video was going viral.

The Broadway production will open in Brisbane in September, and cast members were there to celebrate the season launch, according to "Today".

Disney On Broadway posted a video of the spontaneous performance to its YouTube channel with this description: "After an amazing day at The Lion King Brisbane season launch announcement, members of our Australian cast felt so elated they decided to sing the 'Circle of Life' prior to take off on their flight back to Sydney!"

The animated film was adapted into a Broadway musical in 1997.

The Lyric Theatre at Queensland Performing Arts Centre was modified to accommodate the production, which will be there for at least three months.
