San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence corrected Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews during an awkward post-game interview following the Giants’ victory over the Kansas City Royals in Game 1 of the 2014 World Series.

The interview turned awkward when Andrews misquoted Pence: "You told us today the theme would kind of be there's nothing to fear. You just handed the Royals their first loss of the postseason, you absolutely took this crowd out of it, what's the next message in that clubhouse?"

Pence responded by saying: “Yeah, that wasn't the message, and I wasn't the speaker. It was actually (Santiago) Casilla.”

What was his real message? "I said make your peace with the King of Kings and enjoy it," Pence told Andrews.

Andrews is not new to awkward postgame interviews: She was the one interviewing Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman during his tirade after the 2013 NFC Championship game.

A clip of the interview posted on YouTube drew more than 65,000 views as of Wednesday afternoon.

Twitter users reacted to the interview.
