The first Republican debates for the 2016 presidential nomination drew millions of viewers on Thursday night.

Nearly as many viewers took to social media sites like Twitter to give their reactions in real time, and we've gathered some of the most insightful — and funniest — below.

BuzzFeed created a supercut of the "Sickest Burns" from debate night.

Many pundits both amateur and professional offered their quick takes:

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee argued for the implementation of a Fair Tax, "because the money paid at consumption is paid by everybody, including illegals, prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers, everybody free loading off it now." This line soon became known as the "Pimp Tax" on Twitter.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham got dinged for responding to a question about Planned Parenthood with an answer about the Iraq war.

The crowd booed frontrunner Donald Trump after he said he would not rule out running for president on a third-party ticket, and Rand Paul capitalized.

Informal Time magazine and Drudge polls showed that people chose Trump as the clear debate winner.

Donald Trump zinged Rand Paul: "You're having a hard time tonight."

Lesser-known candidates like Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore get ribbed.

Past presidential candidate Herman Cain was not feeling the debate.

Trump drew applause for insulting Rosie O'Donnell, and earned follow-up applause for saying he will never be politically correct.

Trump took to Twitter after the debate, calling out the moderators.

Neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson gained the most Twitter followers during the debate.

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina took on Chris Matthews after the 5 p.m. undercard debate, refusing to let his biased assumptions stand.

Meanwhile, democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton spent debate night with . . . Kim Kardashian?
