Donald Trump is leading Hillary Clinton in the battleground states of Nevada, North Carolina and Ohio, a Fox News poll released Wednesday shows.
Democratic pollster Chris Anderson and GOP Daron Shaw, who conducted the Fox News survey, credit Trump's edge to the support from working-class white voters, while Clinton is hurt by weak support from younger voters and women.
Here's the breakdown among likely voters by state:
Nevada :
- Trump: 43 percent
- Clinton: 40 percent
- Libertarian Gary Johnson: 8 percent
- None of these: 4 percent
In a head-to-head match, the results are:
- Trump: 46 percent
- Clinton: 42 percent
The Nevada survey's margin of error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
North Carolina:
- Trump: 45 percent
- Clinton: 40 percent
- Johnson: 6 percent
In a two-way race, the results are:
- Trump: 47 percent
- Clinton: 42 percent
The North Carolina survey's margin of error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
Ohio:
- Trump: 42 percent
- Clinton: 37 percent
- Johnson: 6 percent
- Green Party candidate Jill Stein: 2 percent
In a two-way race, the results are:
- Trump: 45 percent
- Clinton: 40 percent
