Falwell Jr.: Trump Gave 'Bold' Statement About Charlottesville

Jerry Falwell Jr. praised President Donald Trump for his statements about the rally that turned violent in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Falwell Jr., the president of Liberty University, said he was "so proud" of Trump in a Wednesday tweet.

Liberty University is south of Charlottesville, the site of the rally that turned violent and resulted in three deaths and numerous injuries, according to the Washington Examiner.

Falwell Jr. has frequently supported Trump, and was among evangelicals who supported Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner in Kushner's July testimony about alleged Russian collusion.
