Hillary Clinton's comments about the Russians and the email scandal leading to her losing the 2016 presidential election are "ridiculous," according to Mike Huckabee Wednesday on Fox News' "America's Newsroom."
Rather, the information revealed in the WikiLeaks trove of Clinton's campaign emails revealed that she was to blame for her loss, Huckabee said.
"The No. 1 thing that is so ridiculous is when she continues to talk about the Russians and the WikiLeaks scandal. It wasn't that the leaks happened. It was that the content, which has never been disputed, revealed her contempt for religious people, working people, for all the people out there in middle America for whom she held nothing but disrespect," the former Arkansas governor said.
On Tuesday, Clinton appeared at a New York conference and placed blame on WikiLeaks, as well as FBI Director Jim Comey's letter on Oct. 28 about the Clinton email probe.
"If the election had been on Oct. 27, I would be your president," she said.
Huckabee countered, "But, Hillary, it wasn't held in October. It was held in November, and everyone who runs for office knows that it's all about making that magic moment count the day of the election."
"There was no vision, no heart, no soul. Other than that she was a great candidate," Huckabee said.
The former governor has been a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump. However, he offered praise for Clinton in March when she gave a speech saying she was "ready to come out of the woods."
"I appreciate her humor," Huckabee said, according to Fox News.
