New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he wasn't impressed with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's appearance before the Benghazi Select Committee on Thursday, especially because she didn't take responsibility.

"Secretary Clinton says that she is not responsible for what happened there. She says other security professionals were responsible yet she didn't fire anybody" Chrisite said Sunday on "Face the Nation."

Pointing to his own administration's Bridge-gate scandal, Christie that mistakes happen, but the person at the top should take responsibility and fire those who made the mistake.

Christie said that within 24 hours of word that members of his administration had conspired to shut down lanes on the George Washington Bridge, he fired those responsible. Clinton did not do the same after the attack on the Benghazi diplomatic compound that left four dead "because she doesn't want to tell the truth," Christie said.

"She has no accountability. No transparency to what is going on. I don't think they did effective job," he said of the Republicans on the committee who questioned Clinton.

"Come next September when I'm on the stage with her in debates, she'll have a federal prosecutor asking these questions," Christie said, predicting he and Clinton will be facing off as their respective party's nominee.  Clinton is her party's front-runner, but Christie is polling near the bottom of the 15-candidate Republican field.
